Unless you mean toying with his mind. "So... you plan to order me around a bit, dare me, command me?" Like that.

Just like that.

He swallows hard, holding back the small sound of his throat closing at a very provocative and pretty damn kinky thought that he'll be pretending he didn't have.

"But I'm also kind and respectful," he raises an eyebrow; "I'd never tell a fine woman what she can and can't do."

"Oh, good, that is good... but..." Yes. "I'm Lucifer, my dear."

She's daring him.

Yes, she's daring him.

He shifts uneasily in his seat, as though trying to formulate some reasonable plan... of which he can't find a damn one.

Finally, he musters up his best suave voice and confidently says; "Come a little closer."

She does, obediently, sliding quietly over to Gus, leaning a bit more to him.

It's a game.

She's not telling him the rules.

And much like the disconcerting twist in his belly, he's feeling it.

When she's close, he leans in and cups her cheek - pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. For him, it's bold... quite possibly the most impulsive thing he's ever done without Shawn pushing him into it.

But it's a nice kill: Lucifer has soft, full lips, her breath scents softly of the wine she was drinking, her skin is warm under his touch. After a moment of light kissing, she actually seeks more, but in a submissive way.

She's testing (tempting).

She's offering (maybe).

Would Gus enjoy controlling a demon?

He wouldn't know where to start; like asking a ballerina to do the tango - he knows the concept, but the steps are confusing and new.

But he's a sucker for sweet, sweet temptation.

"Yes..." he murmurs against her lips without even knowing the question; his teeth finding the plump rise of her lower lip and nipping gently.

For a moment, he's certain he can feel her yield under his touch and his hand strokes back from her cheek to tease the softness of her neck.

But she does, just like a human woman would do if pleased with the kiss.

Maybe that is the trick? treat her just like he would any women, forget who, and what she is?

Oh look, a delighted shiver at the touch.

He's easy to wind up, working on reaction more than action... being easily led has always been his downfall.

Her body's warm under his touch, soft and pliant... and more than the wine or plate of oysters he can smell on the table despite not even hearing the waiter's approach - he wants more of that frightening feeling.

Eyes closed, focusing solely on the sensations, he dares to slide his fingers lower. Tracing subtly down the slope of her neck and then across her upper back and across once more until his palm rests flat on the warm, bare skin of her back where the fabric meets her flesh.

Well...

...

...it's a very human shiver of delight and purred, low vocalization of enjoyment (moan) she gives and makes with the attention.

Remember you're in public, Gus...

He breaks away with a soft, panting groan - reluctant and very clearly effected - he shifts back against his seat.

After another hard swallow of wine, he manages to look back at her, flushing hot and still feeling her lips against his and the small metal zipper he'd barely clasped between his fingers.

What was that about, Gus? Right there at the table?

"We, uh... we should..." he stammers, looking away again.

She is flushed as well, and a bit giddy. "Eat?"

"Find a private place? Forget the investigation of your dating skills and do something deliciously reckless?" Lucifer winks. "This is my first real date in a very long time, so don't mind if I'm a bit... eager."

The pink in her cheeks is a sign he hasn't seen in a long time... she's feeling it and maybe there's something to being in a different world. Maybe she's just like everyone else and has needs... needs that he could eagerly take care of.

And where did that thought come from?

He picks up his wine with a shaky grasp and drains the remainder of his glass, considering the bottle. Demeter had said to be confident, that he didn't have to be afraid of judgement - was that the reason he hesitated on the obvious?

With a soft, tense note to his voice he says; "I think I'm in the mood for something different..."

Vastly.

"Different?" Her tone is curious and enticing at the same time. "Different, like what?"

His call.

His world.

His rules?

A bolder man might say it, but he is not that man.

"Different like getting out of here and going somewhere private. I'm not really in the mood for food."

Who exactly is doing your thinking now, Gus? Not wanting food, may as well claim you don't like breathing or kittens.

It's a sliding scale of needs and wants: so far, 'food' does not rate high on it, but that's likely to change.

"We can take the food along for later, if you don't mind the knowing smiles people will cast at us when they see us leaving..." It's more fun when you let people know exactly what (kinky) things you're going to do... without actually telling them.

The thought of the Saturday dinner rush's eyes on him as they slink out the front door after what was probably a pretty intense display sends a strong bolt of fear through him. They'll all know what's going on... that there are some things you just can't hide.

C'mon, son! What's wrong with you... a gorgeous woman like that who may as well be sitting in your lap? Let them know, strut out of there like you own the place.

"A... all..." he swallows hard, closing his eyes long enough to let out a deep breath. "Alright, I'd like that."

Maybe she's not as much investigating his date-skills, as she is pushing him to act more with his superego. Either way, his decision is rewarded with a kiss, this one initiated by her, full of passion and need and near-pleading.

Gus now just needs to call a waiter over to pack their dinner 'to go', and maybe the wine too.

While that happens, what about some actual devil-on-lap, offering herself to his attentions?

He nearly whimpers against her kiss, his tongue tentatively parting her lips even as he waves the waiter over to their table.

"We... uh..." he pants again, he brain not quite functioning for any purpose that involves much more than what he's managing at that moment. "We need to go. Could I alter our order?"

Hopefully the waiter is an experienced enough professional to understand the situation without need for many more words. Once they are ready, Lucifer will follow along with Gus out of the restaurant, and towards whatever location he has in mind.

Eagerly so.

Direction was questionable...

"My apartment is like a mile away?" he suggestions, already taking the plastic sack and letting his arm boldly wrap around her waist to lead her toward his small, blue car.

"Or... anywhere..."

"I still have a few tricks." She grins, pressing herself to his chest, drawing Gus head down until their foreheads touch. "Think of your place."

Once he does, wind swirls around them, both feel a bit of vertigo...

...and they are standing on his living room. "Like speedy travel."

He can safely say he's never felt anything like it in his life, when she touches him, he closes his eyes - quite glad he did when they... shift... and he feels like the world's come out from underneath him.

"That... was weird..."

Of course, he's standing in his living room clutching a bag of oysters and pasta with Lucifer herself and a mind rapidly descending into the gutter and all a little bit of transportation is weird.

"Uh..." he manages to look up at her, still a little dumbstruck, "wine? Or..."

It's open thought, with a lot of room to work.

Now that they are alone, she... changes? In demeanor, some at least, resting to Gus' chest. "You're a good man... I don't want to push or rush you, even if I could." She cups his cheek, looking into his eyes. "Do you want me?"

It seems like an important question to ask?

"I mean, can you see me as just a woman looking for a good man to have a good time with?" If that is not yet another game she plays...
